The awesome team over at Rainbow Reviews was kind enough to take a look-see at Horse Tales, and the review is here:

I must thank the reviewer for noting the tense change issues in Horse Sense. It was written in present tense for its first publication, and I *thought* I’d revised it all to past tense. Hm, apparently not. :) Heh. Just goes to show, one cannot edit oneself.

A nice review, overall, and I’m pleased with it. I’ve also sent it to Dear Author so we’ll see what Team Slash ‘n Burn might make of it. Double heh.

Merry Monday!

Rainbow Reviews Scavenger Hunt

June 2nd, 2008 Administrator Comments off

A sizable group of GLBT authors are taking part in the Rainbow Reviews Scavenger Hunt for the month of June. The object is to “collect” the RR graphic from all the author sites, take a browse through their offerings, and get a sense of their writing. It’s a fun way to explore the net sphere. Plus, oh yeah, prizes! We’re all giving away a copy of our books to winners. There’s more info here:

Authors like James Buchanan, Josh Lanyon, Kiernan Kelly, JM Snyder, Kayelle Allen, and Margaret Leigh, among others, are playng along. Come, join in our reindeer games!

Well, Saints & Sinners was fabulous; exhausting and invigorating all at the same time. It’s weird how you can be physically tired by mentally revved up. And I didn’t even drink that much coffee!

Among the list of the cool folks I met and chatted with: Lorna Hinson, Shawn Clements, Larry Clements from Torquere Press; Kathie Bergquist of Women & Children First; Robert McDonald of Unabridged Books; Michael Walker of the DreamWalker Group; Anthony Bidulka; the prolific Dale Chase; the always-entertaining and thoughtful Jolie Du Pre; Amie M. Evans; Aaron Hamburger who taught a wonderful hands-on workshop about setting; the ever-affable Trebor Healey; William Holden; Gene Kahn; Read more…

This feels really nice. All the hard work and tweaking and back-and-forth with the authors gets a nice pat on the ass from Rainbow Reviews, a new GLBT review site. The reviewer clearly read all the stories and understood the premise of the theme: not hard-core erotica, romantic erotica.

Huzzah!
